The C2 TASER uses cartridges of compressed nitrogen to propel two probes, which are connected to approximately 15' of wire, into a target. This puts up to 15' between you and the attacker. The probes, at the given force, are able to penetrate up to two cumulative inches of clothing. Then the Taser uses the propelled wires to conduct energy to affect sensory and motor functions. When deployed, it takes down your attacker, delivering a 30 second energy burst, and giving you the opportunity to escape. This is the most effective, non-lethal way of stopping an attack.

The TASER series
SAFETY -- The TASER can stop a threat up to 15 feet away (4.5 meters), allowing you a safe distance to protect yourself and your family from an attacker. If an offender is right up on you, the Taser doubles as a contact stun device.

Registration of the C2 TASER is required after purchase to activate the taser. This information is included with the taser and costs $9.95. With the registration is also a criminal background check, which, if you have one, you will not be able to activate your taser.

TASER cartridges also have a unique serial number and are equipped with an Anti-Felon Identification system, which discharges 20-30 serialized paper tags when deployed. Law enforcement can later retrieve this confetti from the scene and contact TASER International to get the name of the owner of the TASER device, allowing police to track any potential misuse.
